Diversity and Cultural Resources Bureau,

Dear Don Yirenkyi

On behalf of the Russian-speaking Community, I would like to extend to you our thanks for inviting us to the event celebrating the International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination at Milliken Mills High School March 20, 2005.  We were happy to join York Regional Police and our community partners to celebrate our diversity and to show our commitment to eliminate racial discrimination.  It was great opportunity for us to introduce our Russian culture, language, Russian dances and songs before Canadians as well as to learn about rich culture of other communities.  York Regional Police organized a great event that promoted healthy relationships among communities and encouraged people to build together the strength of Canada’s diversity.

I would like once again to express thanks to you and all members of York Regional Police for the cooperation. The Russian-speaking Congress of Canada, The Russian Library and Information Community Centre, the Russian House Community Centre look forward to work jointly with York Regional Police in the future in order to support the interests and needs of multicultural population of Canada.

Sincerely,
